Day 5: A photo of something you really hate.

This is a photo of the first Black girl to attend an all white school in the United States—Dorothy Counts—being jeered and taunted by her white, male peers.

This photo encompasses a lot of things that I really hate: prejudice, ignorance, racism, sexism, inequality…etc.

Makes me angry too. “After four days of harassment that threatened her safety, her parents forced her to withdraw from the school.”

You know what’s funny? Those assholes don’t mean anything to history. They are unimportant and will only be known as the guys who were disrespectful and rude to someone so important. But Dorothy will be remembered in history as the girl who stayed strong. <3
